faibuddy's Story

Meet the Founders

For years, I did work that looked impressive on paper but felt hollow in practice. I remember the long morning commutes into fluorescent-lit offices and the meaningless meetings in conference rooms with no windows. My career was on track for a solid retirement, if I could just endure the grind for another 25 years. The money was good and the work was simple, and even though I felt quite miserable, I stayed. But underneath the routine, something essential was missing and it was affecting my energy not for just work, but for life.

I craved independence and the freedom to engage in something meaningful while calling my own shots. I dreamed up dozens of ideas, but that fearful little voice always showed up to stop me.

What if I fail? How do I cover the bills, insurance, and retirement?

It felt too risky, and day after day, I kept going to work. But I also started paying attention to people outside the office who had found a way to work for themselves. They seemed genuinely happy doing things they cared about that also brought real value to their communities. I started asking myself a different question.

Could this be possible for me too?

The shift was slow. Full-time became part-time, then contract work, and eventually semi-independent gigs. It was my first real taste of autonomy.

At the same time, my future co-founder, Sonia, was standing at her own crossroads. She had spent years as an executive in the software world and was quietly preparing for her own exit, though she didn't know yet exactly what that would look like. On the surface, our backgrounds were different, but the internal pull was identical. We were both at a juncture where the idea of laboring for someone else's vision was becoming less and less appealing. We wanted liberation from the traditional workforce, and to build something that actually reflected our own values.

In late 2022, when large language models arrived, the timing was perfect. We teamed up and dove headfirst into AI. We had no idea where to begin, but for the first time, we had a dedicated partner with us every step of the way. We started using these tools for everything: registration, tax structures, roadmaps, and content strategy. As we worked, we started creating and sharing content around entrepreneurship, AI, and the freedom we were beginning to experience firsthand.

In mid-2023, Sonia helped lead her company's acquisition as VP of Product. She had delivered the win, and then she walked away. Her liberation day had finally arrived.

Then we saw something bigger on the horizon, something that is still unfolding. As AI capabilities improve and agentic use cases multiply, the distribution of labor is changing permanently. Entrepreneurship is no longer a luxury or a passion project. For many, it is becoming a necessity. We knew our original services business needed to reach more people than consulting ever could. We didn't just want to help a few people; we wanted to codify our own escape and share it with the world.

The mission became clear: to demystify and democratize entrepreneurship for everyone.

Everything we learned while building became the foundation for the product itself. We reflected on our journey, where AI had been most useful, and which moments were the true turning points. Through those conversations with AI, our mission came to life.

We built faibuddy to help you Find, Accelerate, and Ignite your own dreams. faibuddy walks you through the complete entrepreneurial journey: ideation, idea validation, market-fit analysis, shareable pitch drafts, a mindset coach for when confidence dips, and an operations coach for when it's time to build. Your unique business canvas takes shape through conversation, customizable assets, equipped with a tangible workflow covering the what, why, who, and how of getting started.

faibuddy is the product we wished we had on Day Zero. It is designed to greet you at the very beginning and walk with you all the way to your first customer.
